In winter the gas fireplace takes over from the balcony, so Room 1 works as well in July as it does in December. The queen bed is made up with a white duvet, an extra blanket and four pillows, and the en-suite bathroom has a large shower and a marble-top basin.
The room has a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle for coffee and a light breakfast, along with air conditioning, a large television with the full DStv bouquet and free uncapped WiFi. Parking is secure, inside the boomed-off village. The lodge’s splash pool, braai area and guest lounge are shared between the rooms.
